Books Featured on the Late Late Toy Show Part 2

Adventure Time by Ryan North
Adventure Time is a series of graphic novels based on the popular Cartoon Network Show. They tell the wacky stories of Finn the Human, Jake the Dog, and Princess Bubblegum as they experience adventure in The Land of Ooo. The Late Late Toy Show featured the fourth volume of the series.

Goth Girl and the Fete Worse Than Death by Chris Riddell
The second book in the award winning series, Goth Girl and the Fete Worse Than Death, is packed full with beautiful black and white illustrations from author Chris Riddell. The book details the adventures of Ada Ghastly-Gorm and her zany life at Ghasty-Gorm Hall. In this lively edition preparations are underway for a garden party, there's a suspicious gamekeeper, an exciting marriage proposal and it's Ada's birthday - but will anyone remember amidst the chaos?

Cathal Can Sign by Brenán Mooney
Cathal Can Sign is an illustrated book aimed at helping young children learn about Irish Sign Language and Gaelic. Intended for both the hearing and hearing impaired, the book uses clear photos of each sign, demonstrated by Brenán's son Daniel, and the illustrated character of Cathal and his family, to introduce basic vocabulary, including the alphabet, numbers, days of the week and family members.

Beyond the stars
Beyond the Stars features twelve tales of adventure, magic and wonder, written by some of the most outstanding talents in children’s fiction today, including John Boyne, Eoin Colfer, Judi Curtin and Roddy Doyle with stunning illustrations from the likes of Chris Haughton and Chris Judge. All profits from sale of the book go to Fighting Words, the centre for creative writing in Dublin.

The Parent Agency by David Baddiel
Written by comedian David Baddiel, The Parent Agency tells the story of nine-year-old Barry, who (in a move that many children will relate to) wishes he could swap his parents for cooler ones. Suddenly Barry's dream comes true and he finds himself in a world where children are allowed choose their parents - but will he find everything he wanted?

The Wren by Jason Connor and Phil Roe
This Irish comic book series details the  adventures of Jack McCormack, a 12/13 year old boy growing up in Dubh-lynn, a city in the country of Hibernia. He has inherited superpowers from his parents and now learns what it is to become a hero while trying to juggle everything else that comes with the "Hero" territory and being a teenager.

The Night before Christmas illustrated by Niroot Puttapipat
A beautiful stocking filler-sized edition of the classic Christmas poem, featuring stunning silhouette illustrations, cut-paper pages and a spectacular pop-up finale.
